Jamie Scott Wicker

September 24, 1972 - January 30, 2022

Jamie S. Wicker, 49, of Rensselaer, Indiana, passed away on January 30, 2022, at Majestic Care Center in Lafayette, IN. Jamie was born in Lafayette, IN on September 24, 1972, the son of James L. Wicker and Dave and Becky Ann (Ulm) Walter. Jamie graduated from Rensselaer Central High School. He was formerly married to Danielle (Hauptli) Sprowl and she survives. Jamie was a member of the Indiana National Guard from 1990-1997. He also formerly worked at Advanced Auto in Remington, IN. Jamie enjoyed playing fantasy football. He was a big fan of Purdue, the Chicago Cubs, and the Chicago Bears. He had an artistic flair and was very talented at drawing and painting. Jamie will be remembered by many for his kind heart. He loved spending time with his family and friends, but most of all his children. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Jamie is survived by his parents, Becky and Dave; children, Austin Wicker, Grace Wicker, Madison Wicker, and Zach Wicker; siblings, Eric Wicker, Shelly Bailey, Shelby Blacklidge, and Randie Wicker. Jamie was preceded in death by his father, James L. Wicker, and one brother, Jimmy Geesa. Friends may call on the family on Monday, February 7, 2022, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM CST at Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer. A Memorial Service will be held immediately following at 11:00 AM CST with Pastor Kathy Staddon officiating. Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer has been entrusted with the arrangements.
