John E. Conn

John E. Conn, 83, a resident of Rensselaer, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at George Ade Memorial Healthcare in Brook, IN. John was born in Rensselaer, IN on July 1, 1938, the son of Ralph Picket and Mary Alice Conn. John graduated from Brook High School with the Class of 1956. John worked as a farmer for 45 years and spent time working at Jasper County Hospital in the maintenance department. John married Julia E. Franson on September 10, 1976, in Rensselaer, IN, and she survives. John was currently a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. He was a former elder and board member of the First Presbyterian Church. John was also a former member of the Iroquois Valley Harmonizers. John is survived by his wife, Julia; children, Jonathon Conn of Crown Point, IN, Kendra Jo (Gail) Daves of Crown Point, IN, Michael Conn of Crown Point, IN; stepchildren, Stuart Franson of Westminster, CO, Teresa Franson of Seattle, WA; numerous grandchildren and step grandchildren; sibling, Karen (Rudy) Cisneros of Lakewood, CO. John was preceded in death by his parents and stepchildren, Janine Hageman and Greg Franson. No services will be held at this time. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer has been entrusted with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
