John Stephen Klahn

October 4, 1951 - March 13, 2018

John Stephen Klahn, age 66, of Monticello, Indiana and formerly of Rensselaer, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Monticello Healthcare. John was born in Gary, Indiana on October 4, 1951, the son of John F. and Mary (Schultz) Klahn. John attended South Newton High School and went on to receive his GED. He had been employed as a heavy equipment operator for McGarvin & Moberlery. John was affiliated with the Christian faith. Surviving are three brothers, Anthony Klahn of Peoria, Illinois, Linford Klahn of Rensselaer, Indiana, and Leslie Squire of Paris, Arkansas, a sister, Susan Klahn and a sister-in-law, Linda Klahn both of Remington, Indiana and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Patrick Klahn. The Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer is honored to assist the family in John’s wishes for cremation services.
