Joyce Marie Junglas

Joyce Marie Junglas, 74, of West Lafayette, IN passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Heritage Health Care. Joyce was born in Kankakee, IL on September 23, 1947, the daughter of Gus and Grace Marie (Rapier) Rothermel. Joyce attended Mt. Ayr High School. On January 9, 1964, in Wolcott, IN She married Wilbur Lee Junglas and he preceded her in death on December 18, 1981. Joyce was a homemaker, caring for her family and home. She was affiliated with the St. Augustine Catholic Church of Rensselaer. Joyce enjoyed spending time gardening and tending to her plants. She also loved to read and make crafts. Joyce spent a lot of her free time outdoors, at the park or lakeside. She also really enjoyed long, peaceful country drives. Most of all, Joyce loved being around her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed. Joyce is survived by her children, Joanna (Steven) Weitz of Dawsonville, GA, Myra (Marck) Worstell of Lafayette, IN, Carol Gilbert of Drexel, MO, Wanda (Travis) Wright of Lafayette, IN, James Sullivan and Stephen (Anne) Sullivan both of Summerall, MS, Laura McClellan of West Lafayette, IN, Ryan Junglas of Muncie, IN, and Brian (Jennifer) Junglas of Allerton, IL; siblings, Linda, Florence, and David. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbur; and eleven siblings. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM CDT on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery of Rensselaer. Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer has been entrusted with the arrangements.
