David "Jake" Hall

David “Jake” Hall, age 71, of Wolcott, passed away Friday , October 15, 2010 at the Methodist Hospital of Indianapolis. Born August 1,1939 in Monon , IN. He was the son of the late Clifford “Red” Hall and Pansy Seward Hall. Jake graduated Rensselaer High School, Class of 1957. He referred to himself as the “Bald Headed Nail Driver”. He was a Self-Employed Carpenter for 55 years with Jake Hall Construction. He was an avid motor sports fan, he enjoyed motorcycle riding, and had visited all 50 states. Jake also enjoyed square dancing, and was an avid collector of antiques and cars. He had a wonderful sense of humor and doted on his Grandchildren. Jake was a member of the Palestine Church of Wolcott, IN. He also was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 351, F. & A.M. Past Master. Was a member of the American Voyager Association, Trike Riders International, Gold Wing Road Riders Association and the Shriners Association. He is survived by his Daughters, Lucinda (Stanley)Turlo, and Tricia Hall both of Lafayette. Fiancee’ Barbara Schultz, and her two children, Steven (Angie) Poindexter of Wolcott ,IN. Kris Poindexter and her partner Susan McHan, of Los Altos, CA. 10 grandchildren Victoria, Sierra, Taylor, Sydnie, Tabitha, Cayden, Cadye, Zack, Erin and Loren. Numerous nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. He is also survived by a brother Clifford (Alta) Hall Jr. of Lafayette. And sister Carol (Bill) Brook of Remington, IN. Jake is also survived by his previous wife Maryanne (Smith) England of Lafayette, IN. Jake is proceeded in death by one brother , Stanley Hall. And one sister Marie Geib, and his parents. Friends may call at the Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 from 2 to 8 pm (CST). With a Masonic service at 7:00 PM (CST) Funeral services will be held at the Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 10:30 Am (CST) with Pastor Guy Brown officiating. The Family has requested that his fellow Motorcycle riders to please ride their bikes and escort to him to the cemetery. Burial will follow at Bedford Cemtery in Monon, IN. Memorial Contributions are asked to go to the Shriners Children’s Hospital Burn Center.
